Not sure what to say?

Sailing with Rob was always a pleasure , we won a lot of major regattas together including National Championships like this one in 1994 in Long Beach , California , the regatta was Sponsored by Disney , with our team representing Michigan . As our Navigator Rob played a critical role in our victory in US Sailing´s National Offshore Championships ( Lloyd Phoenix Trophy ) , he was an awesome team mate and an even better person , i miss him every day .

My deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Rob, especially Ruta, who shared that great laugh that was a gift of Rob's. Rob always had a great smile and was a good looking guy too, especially in his younger days. I first met Rob while racing on Heartbreaker back in 1987. Bob Hughes was buying a few sails from the Melges Sail Loft and asked Buddy if he would race with us on one of the races in the Chicago NOOD's. We won 1 or 2 races that day with Buddy and Rob, wearing his...

While I didn't see Rob and his family often, I have known them for many years. Rob always struck me as kind hearted, determined, and deeply committed to anything to which he turned his attention. He loved his family and loved life. I admired Rob for how he responded to the challenges of life and took adversity head-on. Ruta and Rob raised strong children and I have no doubt Rob's positive attributes will live on through them. Our deepest condolences to Ruta, Nolan, Maija and all of his...

Was very sad to hear the news.

So sorry to read this. We both worked with Rob and his dad at GM. We'll keep the family in our prayers.

I had the pleasure of being Rob's supervisor for many years at Delphi. Rob enjoyed being an Environmental Engineer. I remember and excited for him when Rob accepted Christ as his savior.

Ruta, Nolan and Meija, We are so sorry to hear of Rob´s passing! Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time ! The Carters-Tim, Michelle, Lauren, & Nick

I had the pleasure of getting to know Rob while racing the Chicago to Mackinac race multiple times on Vivienne. The visits to the Cupola Bar to reminisce about the experiences we shared with its great views after the races will be cherished memories.

Rob will definitely be remember for his love of life ! We will miss him Nancy DeGood UFPI
