Not sure what to say?

I might of missed writing on here so I'll say this. Mr Dingman was a great guy and friend of my father Hobe Merritt. Sorry to Kipp and the family for your loss. Bob took us north to lk Charlavoix Kipp and I had a blast. Dad and Bob loved football Mr Dingman took over head coach for dad as he went to athletic director. Loved Mr Dingman he was very kind to me. RIP Bob.

Dear Anne and Family, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Coach Dingman. I played on his Owosso High School team, graduating in 1960. Coach was a tremendous influence in my life. He helped me get a college football scholarship at a time when our family could not afford college. After graduating and a stint in the Army, I joined the DuPont Company for a successful 31 year career. Reflecting on Bob's motivational abilities, encouragement and values, he was a leading role model for my...

I was a student at Everett (class of '78) and loved Mr. Dingman and his wife (I remember before they were married!). He made a positive impact on everyone who crossed his path.

Thank you for keeping this online and giving me an opportunity to "sign off" on what a special man Mr. Dingman was to the students at Walter French and myself. I attended Walter French from '69-'72,with Kipp while his dad was Vice Principal. My prayers are with you all for continued healing.

I only recently became aware of the passing of Coach Dingman. I was honored to play football for Owosso during the four years that Bob taught and coached at our school. I learned as I grew into the program that this was a special man, a man of integrity and values and one who cared about the young men he guided. As the years have passed, I have come to realize just how special he was in my life. He stopped by for a short visit several years ago ( a surprise ) while he was in Traverse City. A...

Although I didn't get to meet Bob until late in his life, I was always impressed with his kindness and strong spirit. Times when I knew he was in tremendous discomfort and pain, yet I never heard him complain.
Hearing all of the good things said about him at his memorial service by friends that had known him for a long time came as no surprize. Bob was a good man and he had a good name. I am glad I got to know him.

Dear Anne, Shelly, Kip:

Captain Bob's Memorial certainly was a fitting tribute to a man who stood mighty tall to all of us who were a part of his life. Bob's courage in the face of numerous health challenges taught us a lot about facing the end of life with courage and dignity. He never asked why, he just marched on. He will always be Captain Bob to Lisa and James as they enjoy so many happy memories of being at the lake. Anne, I would be remiss if I didn't tell you how proud...

Dear Anne and the Dingman family: I believe that I can state on behalf of the entire 1959 Owosso High Football team that we are indebted to Bob in many ways. He was a great motivator, and many of us looked to Bob for inspiration, guidence and as an example. It was because of these attributes that the team had a 6-3 winning season when it had only won 3 games in the previous three years, and I believe that these attributes also contributed to the fact that with a few exceptions, the first...

Dear Anne and Family,
I'm so blessed to have met Bob and will miss him dearly. Talk about a fighter, I'll remember always his courage and refusal to quit as a motivator for myself and the youngsters I coach at the Pop Warner and Little League levels. Anne, your tribute to Bob was incredible and I wish we had more men like him in the world. I only wish I could have known him longer.
