ROBERT DOAN

1921 - 2015

April 24, 1921 - Sept. 10, 2015 GUTHRIE Robert E. Doan, 94, died on September 10, 2015. He was born in Silver City, NM to Don L. Doane and Carolyn "Tot" McRae Doane, and grew up in Alamogordo, NM. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He and his wife, Jo Dollins Doan, raised their children in Wilburton, OK, where Bob worked at Wilburton State Bank. Both here and later in OKC, Bob was a successful insurance businessman. He was an active priesthood member throughout his life in the RLDS/Community of Christ Church. In addition, he enjoyed many hobbies and sharing in fellowship and fun with people, both old and young. After Jo's death, Bob married Judy Lewis Doan, and together, they enjoyed traveling, playing games with friends, and church responsibilities. Bob is survived by his son, Rob Doan; his daughter, Sharon Doan-Burns; his four granddaughters, Lorin Doan, Katharine and Channing Hamel, and Isabella Jo Doan; and one great-granddaughter, Mykah Jo Honeycutt. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2015, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 N. Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
