I was always impressed with Bobby's character as years ago I witnessed how he loved and took care of his wife.

Bob was a very special friend to my wife and I. Bob and I shared many days floating and fly fishing the Rogue and McKenzie rivers. He remained an excellent fly fisher until very late in his long life. Bob often said he was the happiest man on earth because of his great family and many friends. Bob wore number 1 on his uniform during his Hall of Fame career, and he remains number 1 to his many, many friends. Truly a life well lived. My condolences to Don and his family.
