Mr. Robert D. "Ralph" Dones, 70, of 151 Valley Road, husband of Teressa Harrison-Dones, "Dude" went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center. He was born in Greenwood County July 13, 1944, a son of the late Robert Dones, Sr. and Jessie Hackett Dones Lomax. He was formerly employed with Chickasaw Processing and a Construction worker. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Surviving are his devoted wife of the home; one son, Stanley Harrison of New Smyrna Beach, FL; five daughters, Jessica Dones of Greenwood, Sheila Harrison-Middleton of Warner Robbins, GA, Sebrina Johnson of Miami, FL, Rachel Dones-Walker of Miami, FL, and Sheniqua Dones-Wallace of Miami, FL; two brothers, Anthony Dones of Greenwood and Cleveland Dones of Promised Land, SC; three sisters, Sarah Parramore, Bobbie Dones and Doris Wyche, all of Miami, FL: 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, with Bishop Emanuel Spearman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Dones will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Pallbearers will be nephews. Flower bearers will be nieces. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.percivaltompkinsfh.com.
