Not sure what to say?

Hard to believe it has been 3 years. You were a great human being, as that group of your former students know now. That teacher has now been put away and the boys compensated. You were also the perfect 'bloat' and partner in crime during our Aussie adventures. "She'll be right, mate". "That's not a bad drop". "Car 54, car 54 ...". "Up the little red rooster, and m-o-o-o-re whas' name." You were a beauty, mate.

Three years seems like yesterday. Bob, you would have been proud of our 13-1 football team the first year in the Big10. Miss you, brother, every day! Tom Fullmer

Just found out. Will say our rosary for his soul tomorrow.

My brother-in-law, my best man at my wedding. God bless you Bob.

Bob was one of the most welcoming, kindest people I knew. Chris and I looked forward to those long drives to Eugene to watch duck games and sit in section 12 - "Bob Donnelly's section." Of course, the day always started at Bob and Colleen's tailgate where they both were so welcoming. He always had a smile and had time for even young people. We will cherish those memories.

I lived with my grandparents across the street from the Donnellys. Bob was 7 years older and was a teenager, he and his friends would play catch and hit the tennis ball in the street; he was sooo good. Colleen was my 'baby sitter' and we all went to the movie theater to see "Old Yeller", was my first time at the theater and the movie upset me, my grandma said no more movies like that for me. Bob looked at me, smiled, shook his head like 'no its not'.

My condolences to the family. Size was a friend and a good man.

Colleen,Shannon and Casey, we were so sorry to hear about Bob. He was a "good one" and we need more of those. We always enjoyed our time with him. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and good friend. All will miss him. Kirk and Pat

I'm sorry to read that Bob died. I have lovely memories of Colleen inviting me to dinner with your family and spending the night there. Your whole family was terrific. I may not have spoken two words to Bob, but about 10 years ago I talked to him at length at a Theta Chi's dinner. Barry was in the class ahead of Bob. At last I'm not shy and enjoyed reminiscing with him. Your family, through your mom and through church are important memories for me. I'm sorry you have only memories of...
