Not sure what to say?

He was my 6th grade computer teacher and was the first person to spark an interest in me that led to my career and success as an adult. I´m 50 years old and his kindness and sharp wit stuck with me for life.

I'm sorry you had to lose your brother. May he rest in peace.

He was often misunderstood but his passion for teaching made me enjoy learning. He will be missed.

My favorite math teacher EVER!! And a good person, too!! Any kid who had Mr. Downs was a very lucky kid!!

I had Mr. Downs for prime time and a computer class in junior high. I remember going to a computer club "meet" with him at another school and trying different things that he had taught our class. He was always one of the nicest teachers I had and one of the nicest people I knew at Anderson Middle School and he will be missed.

Mr. Downs will remain in my thoughts every time I think of my one and only stage performance in the play "Dracula Baby" when I was at Central Jr. High my 8th grade year. I will never forget that smile he gave through the tears after our performance along with the kind words for a job well done. He was a great teacher who did expect each student to do there very best and let you know that he was proud of you when you achieved it!

Cousin Bob's hearty laughter and kind-hearted presence will be missed. So many of my son's birthday parties and holidays were all the more memorable with Bob. Missed and never forgotten. <3

I count Bob as a personal and professional friend. He was always there to help me and the Millard Education Association. I learned a great deal from Bob. God Bless,
Dennis Gehringer

Mr. Downs was my computer teacher at Anderson Middle School. He was one of those teachers you never forget. I learned so much from him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
