Not sure what to say?

You invited the whole class. Eight of us came for weekly, evening instruction in traditional English grammar (when SHS cut it) and Latin (because it was deemed important).
We enjoyed your hospitality, your humor, and your two dogs, Lancelot and Guinevere.
You introduced us to Emerson's Essay Self Reliance heady stuff for an eleventh grader. I re-read it every decade or so.
Thank you Mr. Dudley. You are thought of often.

Mr Dudley, you were the best teacher I ever had. Thank you for inspiring me to write and to include me in that small group of writers you took under your wing at Granby High.
You gave me so much confidence and changed the path of my life!
RIP dear man.

Best Teacher ever!

Thank you, Mr. Dudley, for teaching so many of us to open our minds, to stretch each synapse, to greater understanding of the world. I took every possible class I could with him in high school, and I missed him so much when he moved. He definitely made the world a better place. Now your soul is free of your mortal coil.

I will always remember the kindness and respect Mr Dudley provided as a teacher. He certainly had an impact on my life and helped teach me to reach for my goals. I still remember sometimes so many stimulating days in his class.

Rest in peace, and know how many you have influenced.

Oh captain, our captain.

Remembering honors English, and you, very fondly today.

Bob was a distant cousin of mine to whom I was introduced by a mutual distant cousin. He told me about his Dudley genealogy and showed me the location of his family farm in Granby. Thanks to Bob, I got a couple of interesting photos, and I would be happy to share that information with any interested relative of Bob's. I enjoyed my brief time with Bob very much. He seemed like a good a decent man, the kind that we need more of.

Mr. Dudley - you brought Shakespeare into my life for which I will always be grateful... Every time I hear a passage or a quote, it brings me back in time to your classroom. Thank you for inspiring so many of us.... Susan Halpin
