It was a beautiful funeral. Yes, it was long...and by the way he lived his life, Bob earned every moment of it. And...those of us who knew him deserved every minute. Bob was a gentleman in the very best sense of the word. Thank you for the lovely final memory.

I became a friend of Bob's through tennis. Somehow, despite being considerably younger, I became a regular sub in his group at the Markin Center and the Kalamazoo Y. He was such a gentleman (gentle man) and would always tease me to respect my elders while playing. My response was usually something like, "Bob, if you would act your age I would." He was still competitive and very accomplished well into his 70's and 80's. Eventually our paths crossed again at Friendship Village and Woodside...

To all the Dunbar family: I had the pleasure to work with Bob as a younger man while we worked at Bemis and Son Traffic Safety. Bob taught me many things as I grew up in the business world. I´ll always remember that he would always take the time to sit with me to discuss the many business projects we worked on together. The last time I saw him and Louise was at a car dealership while waiting in the customer service lounge. True to everyone who knows Bob, it was like we hadn´t been apart for...
