Bob was a gentle person of complexity, in that he served so valiantly in WWII in major strikes, and, yet was so quietly focused and content in the time I knew him personally many years later. He was a fond first cousin of my mother, Doris Hack Wood, and Bette Hack, whose father'w sister Margaret was his most beautiful mother.
