To the Eckes family, I am sorry to read about your loss. Bob worked on my Mom and Dad's farm back in the fifties as he was the next door neighbor. He was certainly the gold standard, Mom raved about him for many years. I remember your family coming to visit us when I was little, after they moved off of the farm. The biggest thing I can tell you is that when I was dealing with putting my mom in a home about 20 years ago, Bob called me out of the blue and we had a very nice visit. I was touched that he would do that. Again,God bless and you have my deepest sympathy.

I was shocked and extremely sad to hear of Bob's passing! We worked together at Unisys for many years and I enjoyed hearing about his family as well as his hunting and fishing adventures. When I moved to Maryland, Bob bought my little boat for fishing in the reservoir. I just read his obituary which is right on. Condolences to Jeanie and the family!

We have lost a good neighbor and a friend. Bob was a second father to our late son and they shared so many interests. I know James was there to greet Bob when he passed and they, Bob Dunn and my Dad are now talking fishing and hunting! Our thoughts and prayers are with Jeanne and the family.

Mr. Eckes was the pillar of our neighborhood. Always looking out for everyone. Made sure we had a place to swim & we could only go ice skating when Mr. Eckes said it was safe. Our hearts go out to his family as we keep his memory in our hearts.
