Not sure what to say?

I am saddened to learn of Rob's passing. I met him two years ago and really enjoyed doing business with Rob. I will miss talking with him.

Dear Roxanne,Ellen ,and Brett,

I was deeply saddened to learn of Rob's death. I met Rob in the fall of '71 at the FIJI Hut during rush.John Edgerton was in my pledge class and we were glad to have his baby brother join us.

There was nothing about Rob not to like. Kind, enthusiastic, that great smile and the twinkle in his eye--I could go on.I have vivid memories of him dragging back into the frat house after a long day of baseball practice, taking photos at events, imitating folks...

Rob, I was always 'to busy' to come to see the Redbirds with you. You were a remark-able person and you will be missed not only by your family --but, your many, many friends. I am thankful for the few months we were able to be together.

Dear Edgerton family,
I only met Rob last fall at Chris and Becky's home at the FIJI reunion. I could tell how he held the group together with pictures followed by even adding me to the FIJI e-mail list. Everyone there (including Rob) told me how much they thought of my husband, Chip, who had passed away the previous March, not knowing that Rob soon would be going through the same trials. I so enjoyed getting to meet him and later reading about his perseverance. His strength and attitude...

Roxanne, Ellen, and Brett,
We were in Santa Fe, New Mexico, when we received the news about Rob.
Thank you for sharing your hushand and dad with us. The first time we met Rob we felt this instant connection and thought the feeling unique and special. But it didn't take us long to realize that EVERYONE felt an instant connection with Rob. We felt that he was one of our best Chamber friends....but so did everyone else.
When we count our blessings, we definitely include our friendship...

Rob has been such an asset to the Germantown and Memphis community and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.

None of us can understand why God chooses to call back to heaven some of our greatest humans--"before" their time.

My own time spent with Redge --was during our UT days--- back in the 1970's. I never had the chance to meet any of Rob's family.

However, I do have a short story for Rob's family, which hopefully will bring you/them some "comfort".

My lady friend/ "significant other", lost her Mom, to cancer, when she was 4 years old.

Her Dad---a great guy--...

Rob was a wonderful person and a dear friend. He always wore a smile and strived to do his best in everything he did. He was one of those rare people who could make the day brighter by just being there. We will miss him.

Rob was a true gentleman---so sensitive, kind, sincere, honest, loving, and fun...definately a man of integrity! Anyone who met him was drawn to him and he became an instant friend. His love of life and positive outlook was obvious. He gave his all to everything he was involved with---his school, his fraternity, his job, his friends, and of course his family. He was the best of the best. My memories of him from UT, FIJI, and most recently, the Mphs/Shelby Co UT Alumni Board will remain...
