I met Bob and Susan when we moved into their neighborhood in southwest Portland in the early 1960's. We worked together as computer programmers at Evans Products Company for several years. After playing softball for and against each other for several years, he talked us into becoming snowbirds and joining he and Susan in Mesa, Arizona where I am writing this today. Really going to miss Bob and all those memorable games in Portland, Mesa, St. George, and more tournaments than I can remember.

Bob and I played tennis for and against each other for a number of years before he recruited me to play senior softball on a "traveling team" that was being organized. We played upwards of 100 games that season and won the winter world championship. Bob was instrumental in the championship. He was an All Star in virtually every tournament he played in.
