Mr. & Mrs. Elam were my favorite neighbors. It was a sad day when he left, and just as sad, when Mrs. Elam came to my door saying she was going to live at Wesley Village. Very Special people in my life.

I volunteered with Robert at the VA. Enjoyed his stories and optimism. A person I'll always remember.

Papaw with his great-grandaughter Morganne
My Papaw went home to be with Jesus yesterday. I am blessed to be his grandaughter and I'll always remember his unconditional love, his invisible dog Butch, his awesome songs like the "skeeters & the bedbugs", his prayers for me, and the amazing example of a Godly man as he lived his life. I know God welcomed him with open arms saying "Well done, good and faithful servant!" Matthew 25:21 I love you Papaw!!!

I had the pleasure of working with "Rabbit", back in the old days, when being a letter carrier was an enjoyable job. I have a lot of good memories of those days, working with him. Rest in peace, Brother Elam.
