I have fond memories of spending time at the Gus Macker tournaments with Bob when I was at the Register-Star. He was willing to dedicate his time and money toward helping high school athletes by sponsoring teams. I know many in the high school sports community in Rockford owe Bob a debt of thanks and will surely miss him and his generosity.
