Robert E. Elsden

We too mourn your loss. Mr. Elsden and I crossed paths several times since '63. Bob helped return the USS Braine DD630 to service in '52 and cruised the Western Pacific. I would also cruise WestPac in '66 on the very same vessel. But before that he was a teacher and baseball coach in the land of Quarriers. Many years later he and I discovered a mutual friend in Dick Rutz in the land of eternal sunshine. Bob will be missed.

Also one of Bob's students... and remember him as a teacher and a friend... and being a friend to students is not something every educator accomplishes. Remember him fondly, and offer my sincere sympathy.

Bob was a fine educator and a good friend. Sincerest sympathies from one of his former students in Chester, MA.
