We would very much have liked to attend Bob´s funeral, but since we live far away, we won´t be able to. We have mostly met during various holidays, and it has always been pleasant. We are grateful that you have been part of our shared grandchildren´s lives for so long. We pray that the service will be a dignified one, which you can keep in your heart.

While I don´t recall ever meeting General Elton... I have been a decades long friend of the Kern family in Alaska. I have read Josh´s memories of `Uncle Bob´ - and my heart and soul gains an understanding of the importance this great man served upon him - and the Kern family overall.
