Read MoreThe Emersons were my neighbors and my friends. They were kind and modest people. I would not have known of his heroic service except when we were setting a date for some event and the date proposed, would not work because of a gathering with the Tenth Mountain group. I later was able to learn about that awesome group. I still miss those wonderful friends and think of them often.
