Robert Phillip "Bobby" Epps Sr.

EPPS Robert "Bobby" Phillip Epps, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Beloved husband of twenty-six years of Carolyn Ford Epps. Loving father of Tiease Epps, Randy Epps and Robert P. Epps, Jr. Also survived by five grandchildren. Son of the late Phillip Epps and Adele Allen Epps. Son-in-law of Reverend and Mrs. Frank Ford, Jr. Brother-in-law of Mary (Lucian) Deas; Betty (Yeoman) Williams; Linda (Henry) Smith; Vernetta (Tom) Dekini; Lovena Ford; Thomas (Kathy) Ford and Robert Ford. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many other loving relatives and friends. Mr. Epps, age 61 years, was a native of Bronx, NY and was a resident of Harvey, LA for over twenty years. He was employed as a teacher in a number of schools in the Orleans Parish School Board system and for the past three years, he taught at the Algiers Charter Schools. Relatives, friends of the family and colleagues in the teaching profession are invited to attend a Memorial Service from Believer's Life Family Church, 501 Lapalco Blvd., Gretna, LA on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held at the Church on Monday from 10:00 AM until funeral time. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 1-800-227-2345, would be appreciated by the family.
