Not sure what to say?

Memories of Bob usually include an airplane in the mental picture, whether he was working on one or flying it. My best memory must be when he unexpectedly turned over the controls of a biplane to me and coached me through my first loop. Later that day I rode with him as he flew a formation loop with Don Smith off our left wing in his Travel Aire. He was always generous to me. All who knew him feel the loss. Fair winds and blue skies, Bob.

Bob was my teacher at Burgard Vocational High School in the Aviation program. He encouaged me to get a vocational education teachers cerificate. I taught
Career and Technolgy Eduvation For over 30 years. In many ways he was my mentor and a good friend. I am sure he is in heaven where the sky is always clear and there is never a cross wind.

What a great man. Wonderful sense of humor and always willing to put others first. Rest in Peace Uncle Bob.

There are no words to express the sadness of Bob's passing. He was such a big part of so many lives as a teacher, mentor, and friend. He was the nucleus of so many friendships through the years in the aviation community and will be always remembered. I felt privileged to have such a great friend for over forty years.

Bob has been a long time flying friend. Our son also had him as a teacher in BOCES. He was the most knowledgeable aircraft and engine mechanic around and always willing to help. We are sorry Bob is no longer with us but his friendship and knowledge are treasured.

He is leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter and cherished experiences! Loved those hugs and that big laugh! He will be missed...

Sorry to hear of this, was at great customer and loved my mother Anne Perna. Prayers to the family

We lost a great man, brother, uncle and friend. RIP Uncle Bob....you'll be missed.

So sorry for your loss, remembering Bob as a long time friend.
