Robert Lewis Fauber Sr., 77, of Colonial Heights died on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at his residence. He was the son of the late Willie B. and Pearl Perry Fauber, and was preceded in death by a granddaughter, McKayla Skinner. Mr. Fauber was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired truck driver for Tyson Food Inc. Mr. Fauber is survived by his wife of 52 years, Josephine T. Fauber; his children, Bobbie Jo Shoaf of Colonial Heights, Robert Lewis Fauber Jr. and wife, Bobbie of Colonial Heights and Roberta Lynn Krause and husband, Thomas of Germany; nine grandchildren, Belinda Stevens and husband, T.J., Brandon Shoaf, Justin Skinner, Jeffrey Fauber, Brian Fauber, Savannah Skinner, Sierra Skinner, Lauren Wolfrey, and Noah Krause; two great-grandchildren, Lilly Stevens and Brady Stevens; one brother, Elton Fauber of Williamsburg; three sisters; Shirley Payne of Urbanna, Sandra Beasley of West Point and Barbara Armstrong of Richmond; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Raymond McGarr officiating. Burial to follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Enon. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project, 1120 G Street NW, Suite 700, Washington, D.C. 20005. I was so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. He was always a joy to be around at the bindery picnics and Christmas parties. He always had that smile on his face and was quick to make others smile. He will truly be missed. Love to all of you.
