Bob was a tremendously important friend and colleague for nearly 40 years. We first shared office space at a whacky ex-offender service organization on Madison Avenue with clients stumbling in from Rikers Island, Green Haven, and Attica. There were many laughs, but some unexpectedly positive outcomes--some celebrated at the nearby refuge of the Yale Club.
