Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy to all who knew and loved Bob. Bob and the "team" arrived at St. James in the Fall of 1972 shortly before the devastating fire prior to Christmas. The 511+ fire, not only wiped out much of the church interior-- but also knocked out heat and water for the rectory. Bob was thrilled when my wife and I invited him to spend the next few nights with us in our Prairie Shores apartment.

He baptized--at least--our oldest son--while still at St. James. We are better off...

I remember Father Ferrigan very well from St. Stephen's School and Parish in the 60's. I was a student. He was a very kind man and (thankfully for us) an enlightened person. He set an example for us about how a true Christian should act toward others. He lived an exemplary life.

My sincere condolences to Bob's family. I learned this morning of his death. I will join you in spirit at his funeral and will offer Mass for him Thursday at St. Nicholas and hold him in my prayers. He spiced my life with his humor and holiness.

Fr. Ferrigan is home and at peace. As a priest, he led with gentleness, humor and faith. He was a gifted preacher and a kind soul. He will be missed. Shelley & Marty

To the Ferrigan Family,
Please accept my deepest condolences over the death of Bob.
He was one year ahead of me at Mundelein and was kindness par excellence.
In our studies it was ever so easy to get up tight: so much to study and a very tight schedule.
Bob was one of the persons whose presence said, "Hey it ain't that bad, loosen up, smile and get into the flow."
I thank God our paths crossed, he made my journey through this life ever so more enjoyable.

Fr. Ferrigan was a wonderful friend. I will always treasure his memory with great appreciation for the kind man and wonderful priest that he was. My condolences to his family, friends and parishioners. The members of my religious congregation will all remember him in prayer as he was with us often.

Sr. Mary Ellen Moore

Father Ferrigan was a very dear friend of ours for many years. We met at St. Matthew Church in Schaumburg and he married us 37 years ago. We have many beautiful memories of our times spent together and the lovely walks through Cardinal Stritch Retreat in Mundelein. Although we have not seen him in several years, he was always in our thoughts and will be missed. Our condolences to the family for the loss of such a gentle and good man.

My sincere condolences to the family. Cherish your wonderful memories. Remember that God cares for you and will carry you through this difficult time.
