Not sure what to say?

I am sorry to just have learned of Bob's passing from Notre Dame alumni contacts. We were three-year roommates at Cavanaugh Hall in the early 1970s. Bob was a topflight intellect and self-sacrificing roomie and friend. His gentle nature endeared him to me and his other classmates. Plus, his study habits (intense and focused) kept me working hard to keep up! My deep condolences to his family. May he rest in peace and glory.

I miss you so much every day Robert. Thank you for everything. Thinking of you with sorrow and love. Beak! 8-x

Robert you are awesome and you will truly be missed. You are one of the sweetest and nicest people I have ever met, always giving of your self and never asking for anything in return . which is why you and Maureen were so good for each other and the perfect match because you both are truly two peas from the same pod. Selfless, caring, giving and awesome. You will be greatly missed by all who knew you, thanks for being you. Love you Robert.

Robert was one of the nicest people I knew and it brought great sadness to me when I heard of his passing. I will miss helping him with his computers and anything thing else he may have needed help understanding, but I will especially miss his personality and his sense of humor. I hope in life that I will be able to achieve the amount of kindness he showed not only to his friends and family, but also to strangers around him. He will be greatly missed.

Robert was an exceptionally kind and caring man. There wasn't a person that met him who wouldn't agree. He had a great love for his family and friends and even extended that to others that he didn't know. I am very lucky to have met him and will continue to strive to become such a caring person. He will be greatly missed.

I really wish to not believe Robert has passed. It breaks me heart so so so much!! It's been four years knowing Rob. It really is the little things you remember. Rob was such a kind soft spoken soul. He made everyone laugh around him and was a reminder that the world was not such a bad place. He was very devoted to his faith. He loved life and new in the end everything will always be alright. I guess I have to listen to him. Everything is alright. Although Rob you are no longer with us in the...

Robert always struck me as a man of genuine kindness and generosity. To those he loved and cared for, he offered so much of himself. And to those, his absence will be all the more greater loss. I will always be thankful for our shared experiences and adventures. I will also always be thankful for how he loved, respected and cherished my sister - for her, you will be irreplaceable.

I have a heavy heart to lose Bob. Not just because I miss his jokes but I see how my aunt misses his companionship. He made her happy. If there's a heaven, Bob is there. He was an amazing person and was very funny. I think the best people leave pieces of their hearts in all of us. He left some with my family and we cherish it. Thank you, Bob, for your awesomeness.

Regret not to meet Bob personally but was very nice to chat with him. Was very genuine person to me and can see he loves his family much and was much devoted to my Aunt Maureen. Men like Bob are few and we all need to take lesson from his generosity, compassion, and love for humanity. I am humbled to have known him. D-o ti benedica e ti protegga e la vostra famiglia. Preghiere di speranza e di pace.
