Joyce, My heartfelt condolences on Bob´s passing. I have fond memories of working together at UMass and his leadership, mentoring and breadth of knowledge made me confident that we could provide transplant patients with the best care they could receive. To the Finberg family- My heart goes out to you. Bob was a true mentor and friend to me. He always supported my efforts and gave me sage advice and truthful feedback. With his sharp wit, infectious laugh and piercing eyes I could always tell if he agreed with my assessments. Not only a teacher, researcher and clinician, he was my friend. I have no words. Bob was a wonderful dad and both he and Joyce inspired me to follow my dream. This is a huge loss not only to our medical field but to the family. May his memory be a blessing.
