Not sure what to say?

I was 16 years old, working at a grocery store across the street from Arcadia High School , when I saw Mr Finkbine regularly. He was always friendly, kind and his enthusiasm was contagious. I could see in the store the strong connection he had with students & parents from Arcadia. Although I wasn´t a student @ Arcadia, I learned a great deal from Mr. Finkbine on how to treat people. He was a gift. Best & warmest wishes to his Family, Bob Angstead

I posted in the guestbook when I first learned he had passed. I loved him even through American History wasn´t my top class. He taught me the what and where, but to this day, I couldn´t tell you when! He was an awesome teacher.

My mentor teacher and friend you are always in my heart and mind

I was one of Mr. Finkbine's students at Arcadia High School. When I got a message about his Celebration of Life, it was too late for me to attend since I live in Colorado. He was my American History teacher - and I loved him. I was probably one of his worst students....I couldn't keep dates and events connected correctly - still can't! But he tried! What a wonderful person. Many memories.....He and Coach "Skip" Schifino were quite a pair.....

Mr. Bob will always be in my heart. No other teacher made American History more dramatic and fun. Go in grace my friend and teacher.

There will always be only one Bob Finkbine! A genuine friend to all. So full of life. I remember unique basketball games in his backyard. His hug and condolence for this high school junior upon my mother's passing. He opened doors for us to be free thinkers; the relevance to our present, of our history and our ancestors. His wry humor makes me smile now. Thank you, Mr. Finkbine. My condolences to the family.

Mr. Finkbine was a great teacher and a wonderful friend. He helped me through my troubled teens during a troubled time in our nation. God Bless him and his family.

A good man; he was always smiling and concerned about students; may he rest in peace. Thomas W. Farmer

I made it through high school because of Mr. Finkbine (always a Mr. to me). I am now a teacher and I often reflect on how he helped me when I was having trouble. Plus he made learning history interesting! Not an easy task.
