Please accept my condolences. I was a colleague at Sherwood and always admired Bob's insight expressed at faculty meetings. He was also a friend who could make one laugh with his practical application of knowledge. After a very long week many of the staff were able to enjoy relaxing at the Country Courner Inn with a little shuffle board and a few brews. He will be missed but his memory will linger for a long time.

Mr. Finney was my math teacher at Sherwood High in 1958. He made me take trig and solid geometry when I had signed up for an extra art class. When I complained, he told me it was time I used some of my considerable brains to do something other than art and music. He did this after the counselor at Sherwood had told my mother that I obviously wasn't college material and I couldn't major in business because I got my fingers caught between the keys on the typewriter.
