Not sure what to say?

Jeanne,
I just got back in town and am so sorry to hear about Bob. I especially remember that this year he was so proud to have been married for "over sixty years" to, clearly the love of his life, you.

If there is anything I can do. Just let me know. Really.

Sincerely,

Dear Jeanne,
My sister, Mary, advised me of Bob's recent death & I want to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Please know that I send my sincere condolences for you and pray that you will be comforted.

Dear Jeanne,

I am Mary's daughter Laura who you and Bob visited with in San Diego. My husband and I really enjoyed our visit. Your interesting travel, everyday adventures and joie de vivre were inspiring. We send you our sincerest condolences.

Dear Jeanne,
Harley and I want to let you know that our concerned thoughts are with you. You and Bob have been exemplary in sharing the hard work you have invested in your careers and your community; yet you made time to travel and enjoy together some of life's arts and other pleasures in a rare partnership. In these pursuits, you and Bob have inspired others in our family to experience the world, to reach for higher education and professional achievement, and to serve our communities....

I'll never forget Bob's kindness in inviting me as a guest to the Ingomar Club, where he and Jeanne shared a lovely dinner with me. Indeed, on every occasion I met him, Bob was nothing but kind and friendly and great to be around. Jeanne will most keenly feel his loss, but many others will, too. My sincere condolences.

Bob and I played many rounds of golf together at Baywood. I fondly recall his good humor and one sage piece of good advice: "prompt payment makes for lasting friendships". He will truly be missed.

Dear Family of Mr. Fish:

My condolences to you on the passing of Mr. Fish.

I often tell the story of Mr. Fish and how he treated our family so well. When I moved to San Francisco for my first real job, he personally vouched for me to the local bank president. When I tell the story, I let my listener know how much I respected Mr. Fish as a man who was loyal to his customers and loyal to his country. I second my sister's statement that we are all the poorer that he has...

I knew Mr. Fish from the UCB/First Interstate Bank in Eureka. I was a kid when my parents, Clem & Mary Cantu, had an account there, and I remember he would always get up from his chair, come over, and say hello with a huge smile whenever we came in to the bank.

I've always thought fondly of him over the years. Mr. Fish was such a sweet, friendly man, who always seemed truly, genuinely happy whenever we saw him. I was very sad to hear of his passing. My condolences and prayers go to...

Dear Mrs. Fish,

I was very saddened when I read Mr. Fish’s obituary today. He was always such a friendly face and a friend at the bank.

I met Mr. Fish at the bank in 1974 when we moved to Eureka From Redding.
I found him to be one of the nicest, friendliest and most helpful person I had ever met, especially one in bank management.

He helped my oldest daughter, when she moved to San Francisco, find a bank in her neighborhood, and event gave her a note to...
