Funeral Service for Robert " Bobby" Bruce Fitz-Gerald, age 56 years, of Yamcraw Shores, formerly of The Ferry, Exuma, will be held on Saturday, January 12th , 2013 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Anne's Anglican Church, Fox Hill Road. Officiating will be Rev.Fr. Delano Archer, assisted by Rev. Fr. Hugh Bartlett. Interment will follow in St. Anne's Cemetery, Fox Hill Road.
Cherished memories will always be held by: his wife Victoria "Bessie" Fitz-Gerald; his two daughters: Nichola Knowles and Latina Fitz-Gerald; one brother: Lewis Fitz-Gerald; two sisters: Alvena MacDonald and Barbara Knowles; his mother–in-law: Lorraine Cartwright; five brothers-in-law: Mac MacDonald, William Darville, Sinclair (Nathaniel), Michael, and Oswald Cartwright; four sisters-in-law, Michelle Fitz-Gerald, Angela Darville and Cynthia and Alma Cartwright; numerous nieces and nephews: a host of other relatives including: Stephen Varga, Inga Burrows, Marilyn and Vera Fitz-Gerald, Betty Smith, and Robert and Andrew Thompson; Special Friends including: Carl Miller , Marion Williams and Khalil Braithwaite; Special thanks go out to: Dr. Curling, Dr. Turnquest, Dr. Farqharson, Dr. V. McPhee, Mikus Mikula, and Nurse Clarke.
Friends may pay their last respects at Butlers' Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Ernest and York Streets on Friday January 11, 2013 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

It was truly a blessing to have known Mr. Fitz-Gerald. He was humble and patient in the face of adversity. He was a loving husband and father clearly evident at each visit. Thank you Mr. Fitz-Gerald it was my honour to serve you as your nurse. R.I.P.

Hello I'm Michael Darville one of Robert's classmates at Aquinas College class of 1974. Robert was one of our more quiet classmate, who was always pleasent and respectful of others. He was the only one of the entire school back in 1973 who did not have to take English 101. My condolences to his family at this most differcult time.Its been a long time but fond memories of him and my school years. Rest in Peace Robert. sincerly Michael Darville
