A good tiller is hard to come by - and Bob was the only 'bob' on the boat. It was fun to say.

Bob and Joy were wonderful friends - on the water and on the mountain. Inviting everyone to their cabin and then themselves to our cabin on Mt. Hood - we loved it.

Loosing Bob was such a shock. We felt like our futures and friendship stretched way beyond the horizon. Bob and Michael were planning to cut wood this week-end. Bob invited Michael to ride with him on the sno-cat. ...

Bob throughly enjoyed being in charge, whether he was at the back of a dragon boat or leading a horse ride. His humor, compassion and friendship kept him in the middle of a loving family and a huge circle of frieinds. My deepest sympathy to Joy and his family.

Bob was one of those people you like the moment you meet them. He was an easygoing guy with a great sense of humor who always had a story to tell or an experience to relate.

I met Bob in March 2005 when I moved to his neighborhood. He was the very first neighbor to introduce himself to me. That will always stick with me.

I would like to convey my sincerest condolences to his wife, sons and extended family for their tremendous loss.
