Not sure what to say?

I hope you are smiling down on Christine and Joe as they raise your beautiful grandsons. Always in my prayers. Priscilla Virelli

His memories are forever precious.

It is difficult to believe that it will soon be four years since Bob's passing. He was such a warm, wonderful man -- in the shipping industry, in the Society of Maritime Arbitrators (where he was a rising star) and just to know and have as a friend. We all miss him. I wish dearly that he was still among us, smiling, doing his usual good deeds, dispensing good cheer and making all of us feel important in his own special way.

Your light is shining before men and they have seen your good work. Bob you are sadly missed, and dearly loved!

Bob, your legacy will live forever in many hearts. You are sadly missed.

Fair winds and following seas to my best friend; I miss you Bob.

Bob was giving our class of 1970 of Notre Dame of Bridgeport lead commentary at our latest reunion. He was the face of our class and was everything we looked up to. How he got it all right in high school in sports in scholarship and leadership. He never alienated anyone. He was a great teammate in football. Also a Hibernian and part of the fabric of the Irish South End of Bridgeport. Sad is what I am now. My condolences to family.

Bob Flynn was one of the finest men I've ever met -- a devoted Coastie, a devoted family man, a wonderful friend to his many friends and a shipping man who was greatly admired and respected around the world. He was, as the author Tom Wolfe would say, a man in full. I can't believe he's gone and wish to express my deepest, heartfelt sympathy to Christine and to everyone in his family. This is a tremendous loss for everyone who knew him.

I knew him as Bobby, we went to Sacred Heart School together and graduated in 1966. He was our class president and fit well in that position. I could tell even then that he would make a difference in this world. He was a kind boy in school; I don't remember him as ever being mean or a bully. I will keep Bobby and his family in my prayers. RIP my grammar school friend. God bless.
