Not sure what to say?

I just reread the summary of Mr. Foley's life and came away with a feeling of how full it truly was and the legacy that he left. There is a poem about "The Dash" between a person's date of birth and earthly death. In reflecting on Mr. Foley's devotion to family and friends, church and country, I was taken by how large and full his "dash" truly was. That thought made me smile and I hope that it does the same for the Foley family every time they think of Mr. Foley.

My dearest Godfather,

I will miss your easy smile and encouraging words, your unfailing optimism and love for family and friends. You were a light in my life. What a wonderful support you were and the best example of living in the present and being grateful for all that you had. There is no doubt that you were loved and admired. I join the chorus that sing your praises. Now go, and join the party in heaven. Make them all sing and smile and laugh. With love....thank you.

Every Memorial Day in our town of Essex, CT, I don my Army uniform to march in our parade and think of your Dad in his way giving us an early class in patriotism and service to country. I also fondly recall how your dad helped me with my first car and have measured every subsequent dealership to the standards of Foley Motors. Please know...

Mary and Bob at my wedding 1992. Mary was my wedding planner.

Despite his success, he was a very humble and unassuming man. I wish that I had the opportunity to get to know him better.

Mr. Foley waged a courageous battle against an insidious foe Now that the battle is over, may he enjoy everlasting peace and perpetual light.

I worked for Mr Foley for several years, a finer man you could not find. My thoughts go to his family and friends.
