Robert E. Forbes

I have many fond memories of fifth grade, thanks to Mr. Forbes. He was a great, entertaining teacher, and he clearly cared a great deal for his students and their wellbeing.

Bob was a great colleague! He was kind, compassionate and fun to be around. He loved his students and treated each one with respect. He worked hard to help his students to succeed academically, made a conscious effort to show each one that they were special, and was excellent at developing individualized plans for students with special needs. Bob touched the lives of hundreds of kids, parents and colleagues in a positive way. I am thankful that he was my good friend and I will miss him.

I had Mr. Forbes as my 5th grade teacher. I cannot say enough good things about him. He was kind and his love for teaching came through to his students. He was funny and at times sarcastic but he made his students feel included. I remember another classmate giving me a flower during his class one day. I still have that picture! My condolences to his wife and children.

My condolences to Mr. Forbes' family. He was one of my teachers in junior high - one of my favorites. Mr. Forbes was funny, made learning fun, and always made every student feel included. May your memories bring you peace and comfort as you mourn his passing.
