Danbury, NH-Robert B. Ford, 91, formerly of Old Turnpike Road, died Thursday, February 6, 2025 at The Arbors in Bedford, NH.
 
He was born on November 23, 1933 the son of Roy B. and Dorothy E. (Stevens) Ford.  Bob was a native of Danbury and lived there until about a year ago when he moved to Bedford.
 
He graduated from Andover High School in 1952 and worked for Horace Stanley and Wesley Woodward.  He served in the US Army from 1955-1957 and then worked for Kirk Heath.  Bob had been in sales at R.P. Johnson in Andover from 1959-1996, when he retired.
 
He was a member of the Danbury Volunteer Fire Department since 1953 and had served as commissioner and was the oldest lifelong resident of Danbury.  Years ago he enjoyed fishing and hunting and more recently liked to do puzzles and garden and was haying right up until recently.
 
He is predeceased by his parents and brothers, John and Lee Ford.  Bob is survived by his wife of 70 years, Audrey (Dicey) Ford of Bedford, NH; four children and their spouses, Sylvia (Charles) Wood of Alexandria, NH, Elroy (Diana) Ford of Laconia, NH, Bobbie Jane (Thomas) Folsom of Rineyville, KY and Steven (Mary) Ford of Laconia, NH; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Bennett of Allenstown, NH and Margaret Barnett of Danbury, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins.
 
A graveside service will be held on May 10, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in Riverdale Cemetery, Danbury.  A gathering will follow from 1:30-3:30 P.M. at the Danbury Community Center.
 
Memorial contributions may be made to the Danbury Volunteer Fire Department, 10 North Road, Danbury, NH  03230.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. My condolences to the Ford Family! Bob was such a wonderful person to work with for so many years. Bob's dedication and customer service was over-the-top! I thank the Ford Family that I had the opportunity to work with this special person. Bob you will always be remembered in the Johnson family.

My condolences to the Ford family, I worked with Bob for many years at RPJ, he taught me a lot about plumbing and the related trades, which I have benefited greatly all my years!!!!! I appreciated his laugh and simple outlook on life, his spirit will always remain with me and I will always remember him in the most sincere ways! ❤
