Not sure what to say?

Regardless of the passage of nearly 60 years, Bob´s companionship and our experiences together remain bright and cherished whenever I think of our Peace Corps days. At our reunions his name is often mentioned. I miss him dearly. May Peace be his.

I had the pleasure of serving in the Peace Corps with Bob from 1964 to 1966 in Sarawak, Malaysia. He was the best of companions and my closest friend sharing many adventures, experiences and good times. I was in Simanggan when his son was born and travelled with him up the Rajang river. I reconnected with him in 2015 and was anticipating seeing him again at our reunion when he passed. Whenever I think of Peace Corps he is foremost in my memory and will always be.

We will remember him as a special friend and colleague in that wonderful Peace Corps adventure

As a member of Peace Corps Malaysia 7 1964-6 I can still picture Bob during training in Hawaii carrying Carolyn McHenry over streams while hiking in the Waipio Valley. He was lighthearted-a fun guy.He has been missed at our reunions.I am sure he brought his talents as a teacher to the classroom.

I spent over two years with Bob in Sarawak,Malaysia with the Peace Corps (64-66). He was a wonderful friend. My memory will always be enriched by his presence. May he rest in peace

As a colleague of Bob's in Malaya VII, I will miss his smiling face, his upbeat outlook and daring-do attitude. My sympathy to his family for the loss of a good man.

We are sorry to learn of the passing of Robert, but grateful for his service to our nation with the Peace Corps.

Our Condolences,
-The National Peace Corps Association
