Robert Grim Fuller of Texarkana, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Cornerstone Retirement Community in Texarkana, Texas. Robert was born on February 26, 1946 in Texarkana, Texas, as the middle child of William and Harriet Fuller.
Mr. Fuller graduated high school from Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee and received his undergraduate Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University in 1968.
Robert devoted his life to his wife, family, work and his community by serving as President of TNB Twin City Bank, Texarkana National Bank, Hibernia National Bank and served on the board of Century Bank. Robert also served as Chairman and longtime board member of Temple Memorial Rehabilitation, where he was Phantom of the Phantom Ball. The Fuller family has been a great supporter of the Arts, in helping to start TRAHC.
Robert, an avid golfer, served as President of Texarkana Country Club from 1996-1997, and as a member of the Men’s Golf Association and the 1992 Men’s Club Champion.
A supporter of education, Robert along with his siblings, contributed to the Engineering and Computer Science campaign during the beginning stages of building the A&M Campus, Texarkana.
Always a gentleman, Robert will be remembered for being a fair and kind man, who loved his family and friends and co-workers.
Mr. Fuller was preceded in death by his parents, William Grim Fuller and Harriet Haydon Fuller his brother Haydon Theron Fuller and his sister-in-law Gayle House Fuller.
Robert is survived by his wife Mimi, son Emery Fuller and his wife Melissa of Southern California, daughters Mayfair Fuller of Boston and Kingsley Fuller of Northern California, and sister Martha Edwards and her husband Mark Edwards.
Private burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
A celebration of life will be held at the Texarkana Country Club, 1 Country Club Lane, Texarkana Arkansas, Tuesday, November 22 from 3:00-5:00 PM. And as Dad always said, “You can put this in your memory bank”.
