I met Bob on Monday morning April 4th, 1966 at the Air Force recruiting office which was located then on W. Philadelphia St. We were sent to Lackland AFB San Antonio, Texas where we went through basic training together. The last time I spoke to him was May of that year when we all scattered to report to our various training schools. I remember him as a quiet, gentle soul who got along with everyone. Bob was a wonderful friend I knew all my life. We were childhood friends living next door to each other. He had a very kind heart and was a pleasure to know.

Bob was one of those people who was always there for you. Whenever you needed help with something; from putting on a new roof, moving from one house to another or just a ride to the garage to pick up your car, he was there. And when you had a BBQ at your house, Bob would bring the steaks. So many memories. Penn State football, bowling, working late in the lab to make a deadline, 3-coin games, Oriole baseball, etc. etc. Mr. Dependable. That was Bob. Rest in peace, my friend.
