Not sure what to say?

To me, he was Uncle Bob, AKA the coolest man in the world. Our family moved to California where I was born in 63 so we didn't get to see him very often. When he joined with Wayne Cochran and the CC Riders, he would send us albums. I listened to them over and over. I was very drawn to Wayne's pain and am not sure how an 8 or 10 year old could relate to songs like 'If I were a Carpenter" but I felt it. Bob Gable, what an incredible guy. Bob was a great friend and a great musician. Bob's contribution to music, his family and friends is something that we will always remember and always have with us. You gave us your best Bob. Thank you! Loved you and will miss you. Condolences and prayers to the Bob Gable family and friends.

Learned about Music theory and saxophone from him. He always were there to help. I have always treasured what I learned from him.

Bob was an inspiration in many ways to more people than he knew. More than one of us saw him as a teacher, a mentor, a cheerleader, and a friend. Most of all, he was real.
I was able to reconnect with him--at least by phone--over the last year and sent him DVDs of my kids' school band concerts, which he said he enjoyed.
I will miss him.
