Bob and I were contemporaneous members of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at Western Illinois U. during the early 1970´s. He was a cogent thinker and planner, thus, it is not surprising that he accomplished so much during his teaching career and was able to have such a positive effect on those who studied under his guidance.

I´m very sorry of the passing of Mr Gable. I enjoyed many of his classes. Funny thing was I had him as a teacher at Madison Jr high, Than at Naperville Central, than at College of Dupage- he probably didn´t think he was ever getting rid of me. I think of him when I see interesting rocks! I´m very sorry for your loss.
