Robert “Bob” Galsterer went to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Wellspring Lutheran Services of Frankenmuth after a brief illness; age 63 years.  Robert was born on March 18, 1953, to Martin and Ellen Galsterer.  He was united in marriage to Sherry Speer on October 2, 1971.  Robert graduated from Western Michigan University, owned and operated Robert’s Apparel in Frankenmuth and then became a partner in Galsterer Ford for 32 years.  Robert was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church serving as an usher for more than 30 years and a past member of the Frankenmuth Fire Department and Lions Club.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing and attending his grandchildren’s sports activities.


 


Surviving in addition to his wife of 44 years are his children; Matthew (Heather) Galsterer, Stephanie Simons, William (Heather) Galsterer, 7 grandchildren; Jacob, Joshua and Rachel Galsterer, Jonathan and Mallory Simons, Sean and Alex Galsterer; mother Ellen Galsterer, brother Mike Galsterer, sisters Charlotte Finkbeiner and Mary Galsterer.


 


Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at St Lorenz Lutheran Church.  Family will receive visitors on Monday, April 4, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran School.
