Robert C. Gardner

Hello-- Robert Gardner sent me my first telegram ever in 1978 welcoming me into the Magazine Publishers Association Internship program in NYC-- i was beyond excited! The good news was that I had wanted to do the program since Freshman year and finally was able to apply and was accepted from the U of Oregon. The not as great news? Everyone in the program would be spending the summer in NYC- but I was chosen by Menlo Park, California-based SUNSET MAGAZINE and would be heading to the Bay Area....
