Not sure what to say?

We Remembering "Gebby" on this day. Always drove a Chevy , and a Top-flite golf ball!

My 'Uncle Rob' was very blessed to have had such loving friends, who were also his family. We wern't able to live close but ,.we will miss him also. I've heard your names over the years and knew just how much he cared for you! I feel he is at peace now. Thank You for loving and caring about him. Jo Ann (jodi) Harris

Geb was the original "Old shoe" ! You couldn't help but feel relaxed and at ease with "Gebby" around.
As a kid growing up, I remember when "Geb" used to sell peanuts at the Shrine Circus in Minneapolis. He would bring us big brown paper bags full of Fisher "salted in the shell" peanuts. Gebby would also always give
my mom a hand with dish clean up after our family Saturday or Sunday night dinners.
We'll miss the "Mayor " of Minnesota Valley golf course and my dad's best...

Geb and our dad, Herb Rose were best friends from kindergarten on through the rest of their lives. Geb would eat dinner at the house almost every Saturday night after golf. Geb and my wife Marcia shared the same birthdate so we would often celebrate together. He actively watched our three sons grow up into good golfers as well. My mother, Pat Rose had an extra burial plot available for Geb at Lakewood Cemetery. Please let us have the honor of sharing that plot if it is your desire.

I got to know Gebby when I worked in the mail room one summer at Nash Finch many decades ago. Along with John Wallace and Lec Wilkins, Gebby was part of a hard-working and intense group in the buying part of the business, but he always had a smile and a kind word when not talking shop.

Gebby was an "institution" by himself, at Nash Finch Co. Hdq.grocery buying dept. He had his system of doing things and he did them well. He was a gentle and kind person. I was honored to have known Gebby.
