Although residing in different parts of the US I always considered Gerber a very close friend. We spent many memorable times together in the Coast Guard and when I lived in Jersey. Will never forget you. God bless old friend. To Bob's family, I am very sorry for your loss.

“ To my loving brother, Bobby I will truly miss you. No one could make me laugh as you did whether in person or on the telephone with your quick wit. You have left an amazing legacy, your daughters, Heather, Amy and Devin and grandchildren. Love you always and God Bless your sister, Kathy.

I very quickly came to like him when we all sat at Kathys eating table.
