Mr. Giambruno was one of the kindest, most patient teachers, and individuals, I have ever encountered. When rehearsing for our Spring `81 performance of Annie, he tolerated someone´s (ok, mine) striptease as we played Easy Street in orchestra. He just laughed along with everyone else. We all loved Mr. G.

I think I tried to send something, but the message may have been interrupted. I am at Carlton Senior Residence in Pleasant Hill now, without car, so can only send condolences and prayers. Many happy memories with Bob on Arthur Street in Oakland.

Mr. Giambruno was my algebra teacher at Zion and I remember the enthusiasm and joy he exuded when teaching math. He made me think-- "is math....fun?" He certainly made it more so! He saw the potential I had and encouraged an extremely hesitant 8th grade me to compete in MathCounts. I don't remember how we did, but I do remember the confidence he instilled in me. Thank you Mr. G!

Today I honor Bob Giambruno, a man of integrity, compassion, kindness, and much more. Bob´s passion for life was very evident in his teaching, music, gardening, and in everything he did, including baking. This beloved multi-talented man was well-known in our Sutro School circle, through his loving wife, Laurette and talented son, Zep. Bob will always be remembered for living life to the fullest where everything thrived in his care. We will truly miss you ,Bob

Mr. G was the orchestra instructor at Roosevelt middle school. I loved him. He was a fantastic instructor and conductor. He was passionate and funny and humble and he made learning music fun. I played the violin in the Orchestra. I have such fond memories of Mr. G..

My sympathy and prayers. Many of my happiest childhood memories would include Bob and the times we spent together. The Giambruno refrigerator also contained treasures that ours at home didn´t.

Mr. Giambruno was a great algebra teacher! I still remember how he had us design our own personal checks. My deepest condolences to his families and friends.

I remember him tutoring me in math. He was always a fantastic math teacher! Thank you Bob! Rest In Peace.
