Bob Gillespie was what sports are meant to teach. Hard work, dedication, no excuses, commitment, loyalty and a tough love. He was a great friend and he will be missed. Sorry I could not be there Saturday to show my respect for a wonderful teacher and coach. MY thoughts and prayers are for him and his family. My God Bless him as he will be missed but never forgotten. Dick Kemper, St. Christopher's School

Just last night I was talking to a friend about one of our lacrosse reunions and the Gillespies. I will truely miss one of my favorite teachers and coaches. My most heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the Gillespie family.

Thoughts and prayers to all family, for we who are lucky enough to count ourselves as friends ourselves grieve at the loss. I have inside and forever will carry an indelible positve impression of Coach, and Master, Gillespie, and give thanks to have known him.

So sorry to here of your loss. Bob was one of my favorite teachers and coaches at Woodberry Forest and will be missed by all that knew him.
