I cannot believe it has been about two years since Bob's passing. I think of him often and can only hope my errors in not keeping in contact with his family as I should have will not make them feel as though they are forgotten. They are indeed thought of often and I will continue to keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

Change is to one man the death of a friend,
To another the birth of a child.
Change is the shifting of soft winds of spring,
to a hurricane deadly and wild.
Change is the moving of the hourglass sands,
It's the coming of dawn after dark.
Change is taking one step at a time,
The emotion in each persons heart.
But change in the end, will not change at all
The one constant in everyone's lives
Change is the light at the end of the tunnel
The healer who...

Bob made me feel welcomed always before and after I became a family member. Even though years passed before we would get to see the families again, I knew Bob would greet me as though no years had passed.
Over the last few months I can see how Bob would put up a good fight to remain here with his wife and family.
His family will be kept in my prayers and thoughts until they are in his presence again.
Your sister-in-law

Uncle Bob was the favorite uncle growing up. He took us camping, brought us to see the original Star Wars movies, and took me for rides in his jeep. He instilled in me my love for dogs and had a quiet tenderness about him that always made me feel respected and loved. Though many years have since passed, I still hold those memories dear to me. He walks now with mom and nana and smiles looking down on us.
