Not sure what to say?

He s a good man !

Dr Bob has truly touched our hearts, in the short time we got to spend with him he captivated us all. I enjoyed blabbering away to him about life family history, getting his feed back sometimes just the look on his face said it all. Oh and his smile was contagious if any was having a bad day one look and that smile and those baby blues eyes...he was an angel a truly wonderful selfless person and will be missed! We knew Bob as we were neighbors at the lake.

Words cannot express what a wonderful man he was.
So much fun with an impish smile.

We will miss him enormously. Our sympathy to Char and the entire family.

Bob was a shining light for all of us. His smile and laugh were infectious! It was an honor to have practiced medicine with Bob at Spectrum Health Radiation Oncology. Bob had a positive impact on everyone who met him.

I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Dr. Gillies for several years and had a great deal of admiration and respect for him. Bob was both an exceptional physician and a great person who was always approachable and showed a genuine concern for others. Sincere condolences to Char and the Gillies and Mahacek families. May he rest in eternal peace.

Bob was always the nicest guy. He was, simply put, a good man.

We knew each other for many years through the West Mich Radiological Society.

I'm sorry you have lost him, but you must have many good memories to help sustain you. Know that there are those of us who will miss him as well.

We send our deepest sympathies to the Gillies and Mahacek families regarding "Uncle Bob". He was an awesome uncle and I have many great memories of him, especially deer hunting. He was one of my childhood heroes. I remember his great smile, laugh, and sense of humor. He was a great mentor as well. Our prayers go out to all of you. God bless, Rick & Dar
