Mr. Robert A. Giordano, 54, of Scotch Plains died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at Morristown Memorial Hospital. The funeral is Friday, Sept. 10, at 8:15 a.m. from the Rossi Funeral Home, 1937 Westfield Ave., Scotch Plains, N.J. A Mass is at 9:30 a.m. at St. John Vianney R.C. Church, Colonia. Entombment is at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation is Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Robert was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and settled in Scotch Plains in 1983. He worked as a floorman and in the delivery department for the New York Post in the Bronx, N.Y., for 30 years, retiring in 2008. He was a member of the NMDU (Newspaper-Mail Delivery Union) of New York. Robert is survived by one brother, Anthony and his wife, Jeanne; his three sisters, Frances, Donna, and Barbara; his nephew, Christopher and his wife, Jennifer; his niece, Gina Gutterman and her husband, Jeff, and his great-nephew, Samuel. Bobby was loved by many. I knew him from chat. He was so sweet and was there for me in a dark time for me. I am glad hes no longer suffereing. I send all my love to him and all those who loved him.
