Not sure what to say?

Following up on Bill's note, I managed the Tax-Aide site the last several years that Bob volunteered. Bob was clearly the "go to" person whenever other tax preparers were uncertain about something. His background and insight into the tax law were unsurpassed. Many returning clients would ask for Bob, and they'd be willing to wait as long as necessary for him to be available. The greeter at our site referred to him as "Famous Bob."
More importantly, Bob was the consummate gentleman....

Janie, I loved your father. When the Bombers played soccer, there he would be in the stands cheering Eric and all on. He was such a gentle and nice man and his love for all of you shone so brightly. I used to run into him at Beaverton Starbucks and I will still always look for him there. Our thoughts of condolence go out to you and your family.

Bob was one of an army of volunteers that did free tax returns through the AARP Tax-Aide Foundation. Bob served at the Elsie Stuhr Center for 14 tax seasons. His background with the IRS and as a CPA was a great benefit to the many clients that we serve each year. We will miss you Bob!!
Bill, State Coordinator

I knew Bob in his final days when he lived where I reside at the Robison Jewish Health Center here in Portland. He was always in good spirits and had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him here.
