Not sure what to say?

Bob, I enjoyed your mailings about your hikes and snow days! I am so sorry I was not able to get back there and share any of that beautiful country with you. I will miss you and your stories.

Bob was such a nice guy, I don't think he ever said a bad word ever, well, maybe once, but it was justified.

I will miss you bob, wa6jgw sk

My husband and I have known Bob since 1991.We met him thru a HAM Earthquake net . Over the years we met up at HAM gatherings and Astronomy outings. My husband and him shared the hobby of Astronomy. They would talk for hours over a telescope. We went on several trips with him to the Desert looking for earthquake faults and bringing the telescopes along for the evening.

When he moved to Colorado, we lost contact and had only recently gotten an email from him. He will be missed by us both

One day in 1978 this voice came over my CB radio. It was Bob. We became friends very quickly, he gave me my ham lic. Test, I Passed it,,and we built a 220mhz rptr. together, We stayed friends for many yrs and these last few yrs lost touch. He will be missed in deed. He had a very shy way about him and was very funny at times if he was in the mood. What else can i say about the man, other than we all lost a good man and its tragic he was taken from us so soon. We will miss you...

I had the great pleasure of knowing Bob for the past 35+ years. We first met via our shared hobby of ham radio and soon discovered that we had many other common interests as well. Bob became a great companion on hikes and outings exploring geology, photography, astronomy and was always up for a road trip to visit various historic and otherwise interesting places. Bob was truly a "one-of-a-kind" and he will surely be missed. Here's to ya buddy!

Bob was truely "one of the great ones" willing to help anyone in need no matter how "out of the way" it was.
I will miss our ham radio, and weather discussions greatly, as well as our occasional talks about nothing at all.

Take care friend.

Bob will be greatly missed, not only for his work ethic and knowledge but as a person with great patience and humor. He was a great person to know as a freind.

See ya "pink skin".

My heart and prayers go out to the family of Bob.. It was a pleasure to know and work with him.

Rest in Peace Bob

During the six years I worked with Bob, I remember him as being a kind and gentle man, full of knowledge and curiosity. He was a man of many interests as described by others here, but I remember him best as the one to go to if you had a question. He may not have always had the answer ready, but he would drop everything to help you find it together. Since I had left Quantum two years ago, we slipped out of contact, but he will always be remembered as one of the best friends I have ever had....

Bob was truly a great guy who had a very easy-going spirit. I worked with Bob for 10 years at Quantum and we both kind of grew up together with the challenge of the P1000 line.

Bob kind of led you to believe that he was a grouchy old fart but he was far from it!! He had a heart of gold and, when you could work a smile out of him, it was one of the most sincere smiles I've ever seen.

Rest in peace Bob. You'll be very much missed!!!
